A hidden retreat of leisure and joie de vivre
Villa Baronessa and her little sister Villa Baronessina are conceived as exclusive retreat in the picturesque village of Caldaro, on the South Tyrolean Wine Road: surrounded by vineyards as far as the eye can see, beautiful lofty manors and with a view on the turquoise Lake Caldaro. The villas are embedded in a wonderful biodiverse Mediterranean garden.
Once purchased the property from the Baroness Weihrauch di Pauli, the Volgger family, together with the architect Walter Angonese has decided to maintain the origin character of the main villa, transferring its personality gently into the present. In addition to the main building, an independent detached villa should come into being. Villa Baronessina was born.
Today, the ensemble watches proudly southwards, bringing its aristocratical past into future. It is a place of leisure and joie de vivre, a place of sensuality and reflection. Time and space are blurred as it is only the here and now that counts, as the voices of body and mind intermingle again and we look at the world with the fearless, curious eyes of a child.
