The Camp of the hidden treasure
Campi ya Kanzi is Luca Belpietro’s dream come true. Everything started when Luca, 4 years old, spent his first night alone in a little tent in the garden of his country house. He wanted to show his father he was ready to be taken on safari. That sense of belonging to Africa characterized his entire life and eventually led him to the places he had always dreamed of. He could not resist the call of Africa. In 1995 at the age of 30, together with his girlfriend Antonella, now wife, they settled in Kenya.
Today, Campi ya Kanzi is an award-winning boutique ecolodge in the Chyulu Hills of southern Kenya, in Ernest Hemingway’s “Green Hills of Africa”. This camp is the only Kenya luxury safari lodge on a Maasai-owned reserve spanning 283,000 acres of pristine wilderness. The Hills volcanic summits are covered in a rich green cloud forest, home to a completely different array of trees, flowers, insects, birds and mammals. This special Maasai land supports amazing wildlife, with an immense biodiversity, including zebra, giraffe, antelopes and apex predators like lions and leopards for game viewing

What our clients say
Visionary people need somebody with a vison. Ruth Gamper not only is a visionary,
but a passionate one. Working with her and her team has certainly helped our business, but this is not business as usual: her communication skills fueled by her passion for our
conservation project, have made us believe in PR again and spread significantly the word about us.Antonella & Luca Belpietro, founder Campi ya Kanzi & Maasai & Wilderness Conservation Trust
