Steinach Townhouse: A nineteenth-century gem brought to life
There comes a time when the soul senses beauty, perceives its ethereal presence and pursues it until finding it in the place where it seems to have always been waiting. That time belongs to those who possess the gift of perceiving the harmony of shapes, the warmth of materials, the naturalness of creative gestures, and authenticity, which is the purest gift of beauty.
In Merano, a pearl of the Mittel European culture, there is a corner where time seems to play with reality: the Steinach district. It is the medieval nucleus from which Merano was born, an area between the lively city life and the silent greenery that runs along the Winter Promenade. In this quiet oasis, the respectful restoration of Steinach Townhouse has brought much more than a nineteenth-century building back to life: it has given back to the community a part of its prestigious past and offers, to anyone who arrives here, a secret passage to a unique location.
A tribute to the joy of hospitality and mastery of artisans, Steinach Townhouse is, indeed, the perfect setting for a show that plays with historical periods, styles and atmospheres. The sun rays lightly touch the ice color of the external walls and the breakfast tables set on the large terrace overlooking Via Haller.
Light passes through the fluttering window curtains framed by light green shutters, and boldly flows inside. It fills all the 11 large suites, then it slides sinuously towards the original marble staircase, the impressive mainstay of the building. Inside, past and present blend together in perfect harmony: each room has been restored to reveal the essence of a lived-in and authentic home or rebuilt with great respect. What stands out is a home where objects from different eras and styles go together seamlessly to recreate a new yet profoundly genuine reality.
When you open the doors of the Townhouse, you are first greeted by the dark green majolica wall. The desire to touch them is irresistible. One step to the left and the large living room appears, the scent of the leather armchairs lingers in the air and a large French table overlooks the district.
Go up one flight to see the spacious suites appear. Here you can see the original wardrobes and wooden floors, both finely restored and combined with more modern furnishings. A few steps down a traditional door leads to the bistro where the breakfast is served. The small 1930s tables inside, which come from the first class waiting room of the Trento station, are paired with Lampes de Marseille by Le Corbusier.
This union between different elements and styles was strongly desired by the owners, the designers Roger Botti and Giulia de Andreis from Monza, whose refined intuition and sensitivity allowed many contemporary comforts to effortlessly become part of the original atmosphere, almost as if they had always been there.
Leading and orchestrating this dance of time today are Katalin Huff and Andrea Fenoglio, owners of the starred Sissi Restaurant and Pizzeria 357 in Merano. A couple, both in life and business, that brings out the best of three different cultures: the Hungarian, the Italian, and the Austrian. Thanks to their cultural background, they were able to create a unique concept of hospitality.

What our clients say
“I’ve known Ruth Gamper for many years. Through her, I’ve always discovered little Italian jewels that deserve coverage in our press – as well as internationally. In the end, Ruth is a talent scout. Any journalist on the hunt for a good story is bound to value her dearly, and should follow her with allert antennae. ”

The magic of a timeless retreat
The MICHELIN Key has arrived in Italy
In May 2024, MICHELIN has awarded Corte della Maestà with Three MICHELIN Keys, the first hotel rating by the prestigious MICHELIN Guide. It is a new recognition for the most outstanding hotels across the world. Corte della Maestà is one of only 8 hotels to be awarded with the highest recognitions: Three MICHELIN Keys for “an extraordinary stay”. We are very proud of this outstanding result and extremely happy for being passionate ambassadors and pr consultants of this magic retreat.
Some places are simply unique. Living in such places is like jumping into a wonderful dream. Unforgettable moments. Imagining these places is not enough, you must experience them. They come from afar and are enveloped in knowledge and life. Having the time to experience Corte della Maestà is a privilege. And the most precious gift one can possess.
Corte della Maestà is part of the bishop’s palace built in the XIV century. Today it represents the continuation of the art collection that Paolo and Cristiana have been building up for decades. With ancient and contemporary paintings, sacred and secular objects, furniture purchased in antique markets and shops around the world, an incredible collection of mirrors, ceramics and antique carpets, this spectacular sequence of art objects bears witness to the passion that underlies the decision to create this inimitable place.

What our clients say
The way that Ruth won us over at the beginning was her refinement in not showing off her undeniable professionalism and mastery which, however, were gradually revealed with discreet elegance over the course of our collaboration. Competent, attentive, and above all else committed to whatever she has devoted herself, once she falls in love with a project she completely envelops it with her constructive ideas and her dedication. Ruth is a professional, but above all else, she is a woman of great internal motivation. And what she does, she does for the pleasure of knowing how to do it, for the joy of doing it, and with the pride of having done it at its very best. She fell in love with the Corte della Maestà retreat, and she represents it with great energy and enthusiasm, with that same passion we had when we threw ourselves into realizing our project.

The timeless charm of a historic retreat in Asolo
There is a laid-back atmosphere in Asolo. One can feel it in the tranquillity that encompasses the Treviso village, in the many shades of green that adorn the landscape, in the mild climate of the surrounding hills, and the medieval fortress that proudly stands over them.
Here, where Prosecco vineyards and Palladian villas scatter themselves before the eye, an inherent harmony prevails, where simplicity and elegance contrast and intermingle, mutually complementing one another in a play of perpetual balance.
Upon entering Villa Cipriani, it is a mere single step that marks the distance one must travel to pass from one era to another: outside one finds a dimly lit medieval alley, and inside the dazzling glow of the Victorian Era. Taking a moment to adjust your eyes, you would almost expect to see Henry James and Edward M. Forster, immersed in conversation. Or beneath the pergola in the garden, captivated by the stunning landscape of olive trees and vineyards that sweep towards the stunning Fresco of Villa degli Armeni, lost in that state of mind that Robert Browning so appropriately coined “asolando”. This is the feeling that envelops those who visit Villa Cipriani.
Renaissance court of the Queen Catherine Cornaro, resting place of the divine Eleonora Duse, and adopted home of explorer Freya Stark: Asolo is profoundly feminine; alluring for its culture, beauty and timeless unique character.
Through the determination of Sigrid Guillion Mangilli of Asolo, a new pursuit of harmony is the spark that is bringing Villa Cipriani to life once again. With a deep admiration for the estate’s history, Sigrid set out to discover its journey through the ages, permitting the villa’s revitalization to be guided by a reverence for its distinguished past.
At Villa Cipriani everything moves at its own rhythm. the hotel is instilled with the culture and beauty of these spaces, which have transcended time with an immortalized grace and prestige. And it seems to be this renewal, gradual but inexorable, that is the real virtue of Villa Cipriani, the ability to introduce new features and transformations without disrupting the resonating equilibrium of a greater, timeless whole.
Each stay within these Asolo walls brings new elements to discover, while still leaving guests with the reassurance of coming back to the same warm welcome and sense of belonging they are accustomed to.

Stadt Hotel Città. A Hotel with Soul.
Located in the oldest part of Bolzano’s historical center, Stadt Hotel Città has the feel of an elegant middle-aged gentlewoman waiting to be invited for a waltz. She knows all the steps. She’s intimately familiar with the music. All she requires is a sure hand to lead her to the center of the parquet floor so that she can shine once more. And when all eyes are trained upon her, she’ll be as cosmopolitan and dazzling as she was before, the center of attention.
Two South Tyrolean family-owned companies, renowned even beyond regional borders, have joined forces to pursue and attain an ambitious goal. Giovanni Podini, fascinated by the history and architecture of the building, suggested to Cellina von Mannstein that they restore the historical Bolzano hotel to its former glory. A brief conversation and handshake were all it took for them to come to an understanding and embark on this new venture together. Their eyes light up as they talk about their new project. “We love hotels that have tradition, those that have a story to tell – but most of all, those that have soul.”
And Stadt Hotel Città definitely has soul. The two entrepreneurs immediately recognized this. “It has a distinctive charisma that must be developed to the fullest,” they explain, convinced about their plan to breathe new life into the “city‘s living room” and transform it into a meeting and socializing place for Bolzano locals and travelers alike.
International flair, a retro style reinterpreted with a modern twist, and a touch of the Belle Époque all serve to bring the hotel‘s elegance and beauty surging back to life. A new brasserie that is open also to the public, the stylish Elliptical Hall and a café with Viennese flair are highlights of the new Stadt Hotel Città. And Cellina von Mannstein and Giovanni Podini will be there to steer things, discretely and expertly, from behind the scenes.
The Stadt Hotel Città is a stylish environment enriched by a sense of worldliness. An urban space that sweeps you back in time, into a luxurious dream world.

Steinach Townhouse MeranoHospitality
A place of power, a total work of art.
In the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site stands the ICARO, a retreat and energy oasis. Since 1936 ICARO has overlooked and lovingly guarded the Alpe di Siusi at 1,900m above sea level. From the Cir peaks over the Sasso Lungo to the Catinaccio d’Antermoia and on to the Sciliar, the view is always fascinating in a different way.
The ICARO is a place of power, embedded in the charming natural and cultural landscape of the Dolomites. Sculptural peaks rise up around the exciting new architecture, gifting the ICARO with a new design. Renewed yet respectful of its original structure, since Summer 2021 the new ICARO welcomes open-minded globetrotters, providing wondrous time-travelling experiences through art, nature, relaxation and architecture to satisfy longings of all kind.
Curious and cosmopolitan travellers in search of the joie de vivre and inspirational journeys will love the ICARO. This place stimulates visitors to think differently. Where walls shift, rooms shape themselves into telescopes with a distant view. Where the unexpectedly creative embeds itself in walls and overlays itself, a wealth of ideas flourishes: the sophisticated, refined and sublime spirit of this retreat does not leave you untouched.
At the ICARO, one encounters the mountains and nature, but also pleasure, art, architecture, leisure and ultimately oneself. Here, visitors enter chambers of wonder and rooms of change, where to discover the entertaining and the amusing: colours, shapes and patterns that enraptures the observers for its details and makes them fall in love.
The hotel reflects the concentrated tension of a flapping wing, yet it welcomes with dignified and open arms – just as if it were ready for an embrace.
Spacious rooms and rituals are distributed throughout the hotel and become part of the alpine pasture through intelligently conceived insights and views. The ICARO offers every guest a suitable, private place where to rest, retreat and recharge at its own pace.
The ICARO is a vibrant and lively place to enjoy and dream, to meet and discuss, to move around, to ponder, do all or nothing … This refuge on the Alpe di Siusi inspires discerning travellers and write stories together with them after a careful renovation.

Villa Nuvola. The Art of German Design
Under the name LenzWerk Monaco, the LenzWerk Group opened a showroom in the heart of the Principality of Monaco earlier this year. The result is a living experience par excellence where the Who is Who of German design brands showcase their iconic furniture and luminaries. The entire interior of Villa Nuvola, which is purposefully designed as a private residence, can be experienced and purchased. Highlights include the hand-knotted Jan Kath carpet from the legendary “Erased Heritage” series, the unique gesture-controlled lamps by Occhio as well as perennial living spaces by Walter Knoll.
Stretching over 800 m2, the private showroom displays “The Art of German Design” and offers holistic interior concepts. In cooperation with leading German brands such as Jan Kath, Walter Knoll, Occhio, Burmester, Bette, Dornbracht, Miele, WMF, KSI, Kaia and Loewe, LenzWerk Monaco establishes tailor-made concepts for interior design. This approach is complemented with selected pieces of furniture from its own LenzWerk manufactory. With its focus on individual and tailored solutions best fitted to the needs and wishes of its customers, LenzWerk Monaco seeks an optimal connection between form and functionality, between aesthetics and quality.
Villa Nuvola. A total work of art.
In its essence, Villa Nuvola can be seen as a comprehensive work of art in which functionality merges smoothly with aesthetics. As an ambitious addition to interior design, the König Galerie Berlin is represented with art works by the most sought-after contemporary artists. Works by Katharina Grosse, Jorinde Voigt, Anselm Reyle and Jeppe Hein as well as sculptures by Alicja Kwade make Villa Nuvola a tactile private art space. Here, art is experienced beyond the sterility of a museum – in its most original form.
The Villa Nuvola is the aesthetically fitting headquarters of LenzWerk within the Principality of Monaco. This villa was created as a pilot project for the iconic high-rise “Le Stella” by the renowned Parisian architect Jean-Pierre Lott, who has had a significant influence on Monaco’s skyline with numerous landmarks. With its naturally curved, almost amorphous forms and the luminous façade of white mosaic tiles, the building radiates both calm and elegance; reminiscent of an urban sculpture. With its new use as a concept store of German design, the aesthetic attention to detail now reflects on the inside as well as the outside.

Fairytale Accommodations in the heart of Bolzano
Nestled away in an enchanted corner of the historical town center of Bolzano lies a fabulously beautiful Renaissance castle. Framed by four tall towers, at first glance Castel Hörtenberg seems to have appeared out of a different era. Just a few minutes by foot from the vivacious downtown, surprised guests suddenly find themselves in a magical oasis of tranquility.
Once guests arrive in this dreamy atmosphere of exclusive privacy, they are offered genuine hospitality. The greatest luxury of Castel Hörtenberg though is the tranquil spaciousness of a lodging that has been inhabited for centuries, has welcomed people from the most varied of cultures and lifestyles, and has offered a home away from home.
Over the course of hundreds of years, the walls of the castle, which are under historical preservation, have been the dazzling center of the social and political life of Bolzano, with many stories of their own to tell. The Podini family understood the importance of approaching these stories gently, bringing the original character of the manor to light. The personality of the castle itself soon awakened the desire to engage with its history even more intensely and to express the close ties with the culture of its home city, Bolzano.
Today, Castel Hörtenberg is a thoroughly modern, vivacious place in which exclusive comfort meets aesthetic sensitivity and outstanding service. This is not a place for paying homage to dusty nostalgia, but rather accommodations where the loveliest part of the present is celebrated.

Steinach Townhouse MeranoHospitality
A dream of timelessness
All Rome is a stage. For more than two millennia, she has served as the stunning backdrop for spectacles staged initially by the fathers of the res publica, then by the emperors and finally by the popes. She served as a platform for their dreams of grandeur and immortality as well as for their visions of world domination, infallibility … and exquisite buildings.
Crossing the threshold into the Holy Deer San Lorenzo City Lodge, situated on Piazza Navona, is like stepping into all the richness of Roman history. Standing on the little balcony of the Pope’s Room and watching passersby taking an evening stroll in front of the delightful Fountain of the Four Rivers, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, feels like falling through time. Anyone who looks up at the façade of the baroque Palazzo Pamphilj, built by Pope Innocent X in the seventeenth century, can’t help but be taken aback by the splendor of this architectural masterpiece. The epochs blur together, leaving behind only the light of the Eternal City and the feeling of being part of something grand.
Of something as indefinable and boundless as Rome itself.
Like the legendary phoenix, Rome continually rises out of its own ashes, creating harmony from chaos and conjuring splendor from where ruin and destruction reigned shortly before. Like the medieval alchemists, Giorgia and Stefano Barbini have embraced the city’s capacity for rebirth and created a dream of timelessness, beauty and perfection within their apartment inside the stately Palazzo Pamphilj. They now share this dream, this free interpretation of the Roman spirit, with their selected guests in the form of the Holy Deer.
This luxurious space is not only graced by stunning baroque frescoes and situated within a palazzo built by the genius architect Francesco Borromini, but also buzzes with an intriguing story of the forbidden love between a pope and his sister-in-law, Olimpia Pamphilj.

What our clients say
Speaking about Ruth Gamper is like speaking about a member of the family. About someone you love and esteem infinitely. Our working relationship with her has unfolded over the course of many years. I remember when we met, way back when my wife Giorgia and I were first considering to enter the world of hospitality. We were very green in many ways and, without a momtent’s hesitation, Ruth simply began helping us achieve our goal. For us, it was love at first sight, in a way. Ruth is determined. Honest. Understanding. Decisive. She just rolls up her sleeves and gets to work right alongside you. She and her team were with us when all 3 lodges were born: White Deer, Blue Deer and Holy Deer. She’s helped guide each and every one to success. Over the course of our professional lives, we’ve worked with many PR agencies. Nobody compares to Ruth. Her strong sense of belonging to the companies she works have helped us achieve unexpected results. Her spontaneity, candid approach and high level of compentence have also helped us create and maintain strong relationship with the high-end international press. Ruth never makes it about her, though. She stands in the wings, encouraging you to take center stage and enthusiastically cheering you on. That’s a rare gift in this world. What else can I say? Thank you for who you are and for what you have done and are doing. Never change!

Quality of light is quality of life
Lighting from Occhio represents an invitation: to enjoy and feel, to create something extraordinary and to express one’s own personality. It is thus about more than luminaires: Occhio helps people to shape the lightscapes of their personal spaces and create a new culture of light. Because good light means quality of life.
Occhio understands design quality to be the aesthetics of the outer shape, the look and feel of the surfaces, the attention to detail in the design and, not least, the functionality in handling. A symbiosis that turns quality into an experience.
Occhio is fascinated by making people become the lighting designer of their living and working space and giving them quality of life through light. Everything changes permanently.
Nothing stays as it was. Because only what evolves has continuous existence – like Occhio.
Focusing on an idea and a system leads to a unique attention to detail and depth in product quality. Providing the perfect solution for every spatial situation and requirement. That is what motivates us. Every day anew!
Occhio is one of the most innovative companies in the lighting industry and the market leader in Germany’s premium design lighting segment. Founded in 1999 by Axel Meise, Occhio is based on an idea that is as simple as it is revolutionary: Drawing on the belief that quality of light means quality of life, the Munich-based company develops holistic, multifunctional luminaire and spotlight systems. Occhio connects spaces and makes it possible to use light to design entire buildings of the highest quality by offering universal designs and quality light.
Occhio stands for individuality, for unique design, for intuitive control and for highest light quality.
