Villa Nuvola. The Art of German Design
Under the name LenzWerk Monaco, the LenzWerk Group opened a showroom in the heart of the Principality of Monaco earlier this year. The result is a living experience par excellence where the Who is Who of German design brands showcase their iconic furniture and luminaries. The entire interior of Villa Nuvola, which is purposefully designed as a private residence, can be experienced and purchased. Highlights include the hand-knotted Jan Kath carpet from the legendary “Erased Heritage” series, the unique gesture-controlled lamps by Occhio as well as perennial living spaces by Walter Knoll.
Stretching over 800 m2, the private showroom displays “The Art of German Design” and offers holistic interior concepts. In cooperation with leading German brands such as Jan Kath, Walter Knoll, Occhio, Burmester, Bette, Dornbracht, Miele, WMF, KSI, Kaia and Loewe, LenzWerk Monaco establishes tailor-made concepts for interior design. This approach is complemented with selected pieces of furniture from its own LenzWerk manufactory. With its focus on individual and tailored solutions best fitted to the needs and wishes of its customers, LenzWerk Monaco seeks an optimal connection between form and functionality, between aesthetics and quality.
Villa Nuvola. A total work of art.
In its essence, Villa Nuvola can be seen as a comprehensive work of art in which functionality merges smoothly with aesthetics. As an ambitious addition to interior design, the König Galerie Berlin is represented with art works by the most sought-after contemporary artists. Works by Katharina Grosse, Jorinde Voigt, Anselm Reyle and Jeppe Hein as well as sculptures by Alicja Kwade make Villa Nuvola a tactile private art space. Here, art is experienced beyond the sterility of a museum – in its most original form.
The Villa Nuvola is the aesthetically fitting headquarters of LenzWerk within the Principality of Monaco. This villa was created as a pilot project for the iconic high-rise “Le Stella” by the renowned Parisian architect Jean-Pierre Lott, who has had a significant influence on Monaco’s skyline with numerous landmarks. With its naturally curved, almost amorphous forms and the luminous façade of white mosaic tiles, the building radiates both calm and elegance; reminiscent of an urban sculpture. With its new use as a concept store of German design, the aesthetic attention to detail now reflects on the inside as well as the outside.

BIQUADRA ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN STUDIOInterior Design
Quality of light is quality of life
Lighting from Occhio represents an invitation: to enjoy and feel, to create something extraordinary and to express one’s own personality. It is thus about more than luminaires: Occhio helps people to shape the lightscapes of their personal spaces and create a new culture of light. Because good light means quality of life.
Occhio understands design quality to be the aesthetics of the outer shape, the look and feel of the surfaces, the attention to detail in the design and, not least, the functionality in handling. A symbiosis that turns quality into an experience.
Occhio is fascinated by making people become the lighting designer of their living and working space and giving them quality of life through light. Everything changes permanently.
Nothing stays as it was. Because only what evolves has continuous existence – like Occhio.
Focusing on an idea and a system leads to a unique attention to detail and depth in product quality. Providing the perfect solution for every spatial situation and requirement. That is what motivates us. Every day anew!
Occhio is one of the most innovative companies in the lighting industry and the market leader in Germany’s premium design lighting segment. Founded in 1999 by Axel Meise, Occhio is based on an idea that is as simple as it is revolutionary: Drawing on the belief that quality of light means quality of life, the Munich-based company develops holistic, multifunctional luminaire and spotlight systems. Occhio connects spaces and makes it possible to use light to design entire buildings of the highest quality by offering universal designs and quality light.
Occhio stands for individuality, for unique design, for intuitive control and for highest light quality.
